Carmelite Fathers Museum
Nestled in the natural park Desierto de las Palmas, it houses an interesting collection of works of art from different countries including paintings, sculptures, prints, jewelry… Its highlights are the ceramic altarpiece from the eighteenth century with the Carmelite Prayer and works of Ribera, Salzillo and Mengs. It’s 10 km from the Hotel.
Torre de Sant Vicent
One of the 18 sixteenth century watchtowers strategically located along the coast of Castellón on the grounds of defense and surveillance. It’s situated by the sea and surrounded by a beautiful garden and an entertainment area. It’s about 4 km from the Hotel.
Parish Church of Santo Tomas de Villanueva
Built in the eighteenth century, this neoclassical church contains in its interior paintings and frescoes by the painter Camarón. Its main altar is dedicated to Tomas de Villanueva and its two side altars to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady of the Rosary. It’s located 2.5 km from the Hotel.
La Ruta de las Villas
Along this route you can see the unique villas, rich and architectural diverse, that several wealthy families from Castellón and Valencia build in the late nineteenth and early nineteenth centuries. There are 2 distinct and separate paths through the gardens of Comin (also called “The Limbo”): the route of “Hell” and the “Heavenly Court” one. This route is 2.5 km from the Hotel.
Carmelite wine museum
These wineries and distilleries, built more than a century ago by the Order of Discalced Carmelites, open their doors to all those interested in learning how the ancient monks of the order handcrafted the called Carmelite liqueur and Muscat wine. In addition, visitors have the opportunity to taste its best products for free. It’s located about 2 km from the Hotel.
FIB Benicassim
